Project Coordinator

Job Type: Part Time
Job Location: Remote

We are looking for a project coordinator to provide creative project support to a growing, energetic team of individuals and clients desiring to activate communities.  Diverse experience working on projects in urban design and planning, or creative placemaking is a plus.

  • Time: Up to 10-15 hours per week
  • Pay: $22-30/hr

The project coordinator will see themselves contributing to the unique strategies and thought partnership used to engage communities from rural to urban spaces, in order to activate their presence and voice in projects that impact the communities they call home.  This position is remote, however a person’s ability to engage in a virtual community with team members and clients are required.

As a part-time project coordinator, your responsibilities will be adjusted to accommodate your limited hours while maximizing impact. Here’s how your duties may look:

Project Planning: Using ASANA, assist in developing project plans including scope statements and timelines, focusing on key objectives and feasible timelines to ensure project deadlines are met.

  • Documentation: Ensure accurate documentation of project activities during internal team meetings and client check-in meetings, focusing on capturing essential information and maintaining organized records within the time constraints. Engage with clients for weekly updates and deadlines.
  • Evaluation and Reporting: Assist in evaluating project outcomes and preparing reports summarizing key findings and recommendations from project scope statements and plans.
  • Assign tasks to team members to ensure they understand what is expected of them in terms of project milestones and deliverables.

Client Relations: Maintain communication with clients, providing updates and gathering feedback as needed, while prioritizing key interactions during available hours.

Event Coordination: Support project timeline for community events, workshops, and meetings for respective project teams.  Some may fall on weekends or evenings when community engagement activities are typically scheduled.

Data Collection and Analysis: Support data collection efforts by assisting with surveys, interviews, or data entry tasks, and possibly contributing to basic analysis during available hours.

Additional Desired Skills: In a part-time role, it’s crucial to prioritize tasks effectively, communicate openly with your team about your availability, and maximize your impact by focusing on high-priority activities that align with the firm’s goals and objectives.

Desired Software Experience: ASANA, Slack, Zoom, Google Drive, Miro and Microsoft Suite
